The waterfall is also called dell'Alferello Falls Trout, for the abundance of these fish. It is located north-east of Alfero and has an overhang of less than 32 meters.
E 'it characterized by a wall formed by layers of different nature rock, sandstone and marl: the first is more resistant while the second is more crumbly. The top layer, on which flows the river is constituted by arenaceous limestone, still more hard and resistant to corrosion. The waterfall is surrounded by greenery and is very impressive. E 'it followed by a stretch where the river flows in the plane and then channeled into a series of very deep erosion mufflers.
